Wow, its looks like its been a while since we have been to our Garden Blog.  We moved and finally got around to building a new garden area, or at least getting it started.  So here is what we have going in our summer garden...

We built some smaller boxes for watermelon & cantelope - the water watermelon are still hiding.

The strawberries are producing slowly but surely.  We have been able to harvest six small berries so far, yum yum!

Salsa garden here we come - These are roma tomatoes and they are doing great! We planted orange bell pepper, sweet banana pepper, and chili peppers also, although no fruit yet.

The zuchini plants are gowing fast and I can see a few zuchini's hiding there under the leaves.  Within a week, we will have fresh zuchini bread :)

The citris trees are doing well.  We just harvested a few hundred lemons.  The juice was extracted and frozen for fresh lemonade all summer.  Here is a photo of one of our orange trees.

We hope this is a pomegranate tree.  This is the first time since living here we have seen fruit on the tree and are excited to see what it turns out to be.

Here are the radishes that I found so delicious, and surprisingly, I didn't have to fight anyone for them.

Our peas still trying to reach up to their climbing string.

 Tomatoes plants

 Broccoli

 Butter lettuce

How colorful!

He's not too sure about it this way, but he loved the pumpkin muffins!

 Our sunflowers :)

Katie's pointing to the strawberry plant that's not producing now, but doesn't it look pretty?
You can see all the bell peppers behind and in the far left of the pic in the other planter box is the broccoli.
Checking on the herbs he planted.  Those are the chives on the left and peas on the right.

You can see one of our compost bins and a pile of brown for it, but we're not very good at the composting thing yet.  Haven't got the results we'd like.

 Ready to harvest the carrots!

 Look at this one!

Gorgeous isn't it? They were so yummy too!

The many pumpkins!
The first watermelon from the garden wearing my father's hat.

Enjoying the watermelon!

The harvest of the front yard.  Yeah, not that great.

some cherry tomatoes!

Had to harvest these since I noticed the gophers moved on to them.

2 of the many pumpkins

The corn needed to be put into buckets of water because they were covered in ants. Luckily Bryan did the harvesting, because I really dislike ant bites.

It was yummy, but a little gummy.

Tomatoes and the last of the onions that the gophers left.

Aren't those beautiful little carrots?
